Motorcycle
Instructor Jeff Fusaro demonstrates just how tightly a Gold Wing can turn.

Motorcycle Training
This motorcyclist is participating in a rider performance study of braking responses. SSMT curricula are the culmination of twenty years of MSF teaching experience and thousands of hours of on-street training, plus controlled experiments such as this one.

Instructional Programs

Larry Grodsky, a leader in motorcycle safety, has trained some 5000 riders since 1980. His incisive column, "Stayin'Safe," has been a mainstay in Rider Magazine since 1988. Consult the directory for our Qualified Personal Trainers as well as the Terms & Conditions for Instructional Programs page.

All Stayin Safe Motorcycle Training courses and tours are radio equipped so students receive real-time coaching and feedback.

Neo-Alpine Training Tours

There are 6 Neo-Alpine Training Tours which offer riders of nearly every motorcycle type and experience level a fun opportunity to learn visual strategies and techniques for smoother cornering and safer riding on twisty, scenic roads: real world, on-road training, the UN-Track School way. While differences of rider skill and experience level are inevitable (from riders with 1 year to riders with 40 years), we attempt to group participants with compatible riders, and split the varying skill levels into separate groups.

Specialized Programs for All Levels

Basic On-Street

Prerequisite: Basic riding skills.

Skill Tune-ups - Individual and Small Group
Price (per person) - $350 (1/2 day); $550 (full day)

Your bike gets a tune-up each season ... don't you deserve one too? Schedule a one-on-one session or gather some friends for a day of drills and twisties.
Minimum: 1/2 day
Prerequisite: Motorcycle license.

On the Street in 2 Days
Intensive Riding & Safety Course for New and Re-entry Riders
Price - $975 (3rd day, $450 additional)

"I expected to do well, but I never imagined I'd accomplish what I did in two days"
Christoph Leibrecht, VP, Schiller Int'l. University

Intensive one-on-one training. Perfect for busy professionals who require a course which maximizes their limited free time. More than 90% of our students have ridden on the street for at least part of the second day. Most finish the course sufficiently skilled to pass a license exam, however, as people learn at different rates, we cannot guaranty any level of competence. Offered in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC areas. Motorcycles provided. References and protective gear on request.
Prerequisite: state learner's permit (contact your DMV for requirements), good stamina and bicycle skills.
Options: third day for additional on-street and/or license exam.
